Sylvia's life is in pieces and her self-confidence shattered, but the one thought that gives her strength and solace is that her husband might now be able to find happiness. Still, she's alone, and she's confused, and she's feeling unloved. Ned is a close friend of her husband and the realisation that his best friend had kept this secret for so long has left him feeling emotionally fragile.
